Moksha Dharma tells a fragment of the life of Arjun Singh, a twenty-eight-year-old working-class boxer — enslaved by factory shifts and consumed by the dream of making it through sport. The son of Indian immigrants but Italian by birth, he sees boxing as the only path to respect, a mortgage, a place he can call his own.
Everything breaks when he witnesses what happens to Tomás — a friend left permanently disabled after a ring injury. The experience tears the veil off the hypocrisy and exposes the pettiness at the heart of Italian boxing.
